1- ROMY MADLEY CROFT. She is beautiful. She has an amazing voice (as does Oliver). Personally, I’d like to give her a big hug. She’s got good hair too.

2- FLORENCE LOVES THEM! Yeah, I had to put something Florence related in. But, even if she didn’t..you still need them in your life.

3- AMAZING LIVE. They don’t really speak to the crowd, apart from saying “Thank you.” Therefore, they have very good manners, which means your mum would like them. Funnily enough, my mother likes them! Infinity is the best track on the album, and hearing it live was one of my favourite things about this year.

4- TEARDROPS COVER. They shit on Womack and Womack’s wonderful song, Teardrops. They also cover Aaliyah’s Hot Like Fire. Sounds NOTHING like the orginal, which is a good thing to do when covering a song.

5-THE ALBUM. Their debut album (which you can go buy RIGHT NOW) is stunning. From start to finish. My copy no longer plays after Crystalised(which is only the 3rd song on the album!). I don’t mind buying several more copies.

6-YOU’VE GOT THE LOVE REMIX. I don’t like remixes that much. Sometimes they offend my poor ears. But, their remix of Florence’s cover of You’ve Got The Love is rather chuffing good.

7-ACOUSTIC. Listen to the acoustic version of Crystalised. ’nuff said.

8-THE LYRICS. Lyrics are important to me, and hearing lines such as “Please don’t think that I’m pushing you away, when you’re the one that I’ve kept closest.” AND “I am yours now, so I don’t ever have to leave. I’ve been found out. So now I’ll never explore.” AND “I can’t give it up. To someone else’s touch. Because I care too much.” There’s loads more..but still. Simple lines go the furthest sometimes. Oh, and ALL of Heart Skipped A Beat.

9-THEY ARE ACTUALLY DIFFERENT. Yeah, a lot of bands claim to be “different” and all that shit. But The xx do NOT sound like half the shit that’s around right now. Hopefully NME won’t ruin them, but they’ve got a female editor who hopefully will be able to save the mess that a certain TWERP created.

10-MAYBE 9 THEN. I can’t think of another one. BUT, they’re just fucking good so you should go listen to them and BUY their album.

They did Islands and Night Time.

I put Islands up the other day so now you can have…Night Time! It is just…there are no words to describe how wonderful this band are. I’m a bit pissed off that my copy of the album no longer plays. I’ve had it since the day it came out, and I’ve been playing it none stop since then. Doesn’t play. Same goes for Florence and La Roux’s album. Guess I’ll just have to get another copy 😉

So beautiful.

The series started two weeks ago with Florence + The Machine and Gossip. This week (making up for last week’s crap show) The xx are on! So excited! I hope they play Intro before the tracks they do. Best opening to an album I’ve heard in a long time!
