I’m still wounded over Bloc Party being on a “hiatus.” I love Russell’s band, Pin Me Down. And now, Kele is set to put out a solo album SOON.
First single Tenderoni sounds a wee bit like Wearing My Rolex by Wiley. Still, I love Kele. Nothing can change that.

I won’t lie, I got a bit emotional watching this. I wish I knew why. Maybe I’m sensitive, or just a bit pathetic. I dunno…I guess when you’ve loved a singer or band for such a long time (before they were signed). Then they get signed and become pretty big, you feel really proud of them. I suppose that’s what it is.
And she looks really happy too which is always lovely.

This song by Marina And The Diamonds is my favourite. I’ve been listening to it over and over. I’m glad it’s not on the album because it’s so beautiful, and it’s one of those songs when you find it- you just want to keep it and have it close to you…or something like that. I’m really tired, does any of this make sense? No. Thought so. I’m watching cookery programmes. AGAIN.
Anyway Bad Kidz. just means a lot to me. Right now especially.

Since last year I’ve been a fan of Eliza Doolittle. I remember hearing Running For Life on the Adulthood soundtrack, then seeing the video to Skinny Genes and just being in awe. I adore her and just think she is such a talented person. A few weeks ago I emailed to see if I could have an interview with her, and on Saturday- I did. We even played Word Association. I also tried to get her to play Creep during her set. Didn’t happen. It will one day, seriously, she needs to do it live because it is better than Radiohead’s version. Easily.
She comes on stage and opens with a gorgeous song that I cannot remember the name of, but it was lovely. I’m useless at remembering song names. But, she did play Money Box, Skinny Genes (which me and my best mate sang to each other and did the whistling parts….badly!), A Smokey Room (which was amazing!),Go Home, new single- Pack Up and my FAVOURITE Rollerblades. I’m sure I shouted “COME BACK” when she left the stage. I have no idea what anybody else thought of her, all I know is that she is one of my favourite singers around right now and is a joy to watch live.
Her album is out in the summer and I reckon it’ll be THE album of the summer, but again- it’s just my own opinion 🙂

Eliza Doolittle is just lovely. She was an honour to interview. Just beautiful. And live?! Oh my god. Stunning. She sang Rollerblades which resulted in me making the weirdest noise at my best friend and having a fit. I’ll write a review in a bit.
Alphabeat were a joy to hang out with.
I’m watching a documemtary about Beach Boys. I adore them. They were a messed up bunch but made beautiful music.
I bought a lot of humous today.

The new song, Flash A Hungry Smile is in short, bloody amazing. It’s one of the best tracks of this year so far. And I reckon the new album will be one of the best ones of this year. They are one of my favourite bands ever. They just make EVERYTHING so much better, even when it’s disgustingly crap. They are just a are gorgeous band who never disappoint.
