Flo Is On BBC Radio 1….TONIGHT!
Florence is presenting Zane Lowe’s show on Radio 1 tonight. 7-9pm. I never listen to Radio 1, but I’m willing to make an exception for Florence, of course!
I hope she plays Jefferson Airplane and maybe she does a bit of a singsong?! Anyone who reads this and listens in…email her and tell her about this bloghaha! Publicity and all that!!!

They are amazing and to be honest dear reader, you need them in your life. Finding bands like this, then listening to old stuff by The Strokes makes me feel like I’ve not wasted my day. Besides, I had a packet of Monster Munch so it has been a good day.

I’ve fallen in love again! Looks like I’m only able to fall in love with music and not people hah…I think that’s a joke?! Whatever. Cold Cave are brilliant.

This is a woman who I’ve adored for years. My love for her will never cease, it only grows. I’ve spent most of the evening listening to her and watching some clips on YouTube. I stumbled across this astounding cover of Bob Dylan’s Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again. It is 7 minutes of pure excellence. It is just as amazing as Bob Dylan’s version. And everybody knows how much Chan adores, idolises Bob. It is beautiful. I’d love to hear them sing this together.

Lightspeed Champion Interview!
Below is an interview with Dev Hynes aka Lightspeed Champion aka The Best British Musician aka My Favourite Guitarist. I love him. I make people listen to him. I disown them if they don’t fall in love. I hug them if they do. Marlene is BIG. The new album, Life Is Sweet! Nice To Meet You is out real SOON. Feb 1st. Please go out and buy it because it’s the best album of this year. I’ve not heard any of it, but to be honest, I love Dev and I know it’s going to be fantastic.

Girls-Morning Light.
One of my favorite bands of last year. With a song from one of my favourite albums of last year. Enjoy enjoy enjoy ENJOY.
Flo vs Flo.
There’s a few songs by Florence + The Machine that sound different to the ones that have appaeared on Lungs.
Firstly, there’s this version of : My Boy Builds Coffins. This version sounds quite bluesy and not as dark as the version on Lungs. I’m not knocking either version. I just love the different sound. I reckon Flo should do a Blues album. That’d be cool. Or even better, an album of ALLLLL the demos because only a few were on the deluxe version of Lungs. I’d buy anything she did to be honest. Even if it was an album of Robbie Williams songs..and I can’t stand him.
There’s this version of : Swimming Song. which has that raw sound of Kiss With A Fist. There’s a bit of Punk in Florence. She did Search And Destroy with Lightspeed Champion at a gig in Brighton last year. It was pretty friggin’ good. I loved it. Dev Hynes is a phenomanel guitarist and Flo is a fantastic singer, so of course it was beyond brilliant.
You’ve all heard the versions of Ghosts/I’m Not Calling You A Liar/Don’t Tell Me. Regardless of which version you love, the song is great.
I’ve got a demo version of Kiss With A Fist which is so raw and actually makes you want to punch someone in the jaw. I obviously wouldn’t do such a thing, but the version of it is THAT good.
There’s honestly no point to this post. I just wanted to write about Florence (again…I know). I juts love her and I love how she has this raw sound that everyone has fallen in love with. I remember first watching a clip of her on YouTube in 2007 and just falling in love. Her voice, her lyrics, her stage presence- it’s all amazing. A gifted human being. She could sing any song, any kind of genre and it’d be beautiful.
