I can see why people are falling in love with them. I love I Felt Stupid. Pretty sure we can think of someone when we hear this song. The video’s in black and white, which is alwys cool. The guitar sounds The Cure-esque. It’s juts a bloody good song by a bloody good band!
THIS is probably my favourite telly performance of Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up) so far. Obviously when you’re amongst a sea of people it’s better, but this is just superb. I’ve said it before, and I shall say it again- Isabella’s keyboard solo is EUPHORIC. It is just amazing. Every time I hear it..it’s like my whole body just has some odd spasm and I’m in a different place..like I don’t feel connected to my body. I’m aware that it may sound strange, but hopefully you’ll understand a tiny bit when you’ve watched it.
Here’s an acoustic version of Roscoe (cover, originally done by Midlake..who are amazing. Please listen to them!)
….why Lungs is the Number 1 album in the UK right now and has gone DOUBLE PLATINUM, then maybe this performace from Glastonbury 2009 will explain why :
Florence crowds are amazing.

Here’s another video of Flo and Rob at MTV Sessions from 2008.
It needed Flo and a drum 😦

VCR is the next single to be taken from The xx’s debut album. The video is in black and white which makes it even more sweet and romantic. It’s one of the best albums of last year and The xx were easily one of my favourite bands(and live bands) of last year. They are utterly mind blowing.
I’ve seen an advert on telly a few times this week of a black background and a massive white X in the middle, just like the album cover. Pretty cool!

I wrote a piece on Patti Smith for my mate Matt’s blog. It took me ages to get it together because I didn’t feel my words did Patti justice, and I still don’t.
She looks so different, and sounds different. It’s just bloody brilliant. Can’t wait for the album, I Speak Because I Can (which is an awesome album title!)
Good to see Mumford & Sons still playing on her tracks.
This is from 2 years ago ish. It’s Bricks. It’s Flo and Rob. It is rather amazing. Do enjoy! x
