Anyway, just found a clip of Florence covering one of the best love songs..well, one of the best songs ever. It’s Maps by Yeah Yeah Yeahs. If part of you doesn’t feel the need to cry- then you are made of stone!
Is it as good as Quicksand? OF COURSE. Is it better than In For The Kill? Yes.
Bulletproof is a bloody good song. I can’t see why it won’t be massive (ooo Metric have just come on radio!). I reckon the album will be rather magnificent too.
Have you heard her new single? Well, if you haven’t- let me tell you now that it is the song of the summer and probably the song of the year. The chorus is just so captivating, you will sing a long. You will sing a long LOUDLY. You HAVE to! It is a magnificent song. There’s a few tracks floating around on YouTube from her album, Lungs which is out in July I think? Or is it June? I cannot remember. But this single is amazing. I hope you love it. By rights, it should be Number 1 in the charts when it comes out. It’s beautiful!
It’s called Baptized By Fire. It is AMAZING, but what else would you expect. There’s a UK tour too in July, and the album is out in June.

Firstly, sorry I haven’t updated this. Uni work took over my life recently, but it’s all over now! I handed in my last piece of uni work ever this morning.
Secondly, expect a review of Morrissey’s gig in Stirling from Monday 4th May either the Tuesday or Wednesday- depends how long it takes me for me to get over the excitement!
Thirdly (and the point of this post), Deftones are playing a one off at The Forum in London on 27th August. Tickets go on sale TOMORROW. Now, if this wasn’t in London I’d go. I want to go, but I really don’t like London.

Yesterday I took a trip to a local record shop. It’s quite small, but I don’t really like buying my music from certain chain record shops (too expensive etc). So, I was looking through the CDs, I was so tempted to buy some vinyl, but as I don’t have my decks with me right now..I’d have nothing to play them on.
Lookin at me was the brand new Camera Obscura album. I adore this band, simply adore them. I cannot find fault in them. I think everything about them is beautiful. From the music to the lyrics..just beautiful. Seeing the new album right in front of me made me feel quite happy (I’ve got a really bad cold/flu and I’m not sleeping!) I had no idea it was out on Monday! I thought it was next week!
Right now, I think I am listening to one of the best albums of this year. I know it’s only April..but dare I say it, this album is quite summery. Tracyanne Campbell has the most underrated voice in music.
I’m not Scottish, but ya know..I reckon Scottish people make the best music! (This is based on my love for Shirley Manson from Garbage!)
The lead single is French Navy, which is damn good song. I love You Told A Lie and Away With Murder. Just a fantastic album that you need to go out and buy 🙂

Easily the best band I have seen live, and probalby the best band I will ever see.
They’ve got a UK Tour in May..so I’ve heard. I hope there’s a Birmingham date. I’ve only seen them 4 times, but I need to see them again! It’s been a long time. I’m even wearing my Gossip t-shirt today 🙂
For ages, I’ve been listening to Karima Francis..but I never knew what her name was! I’m sometimes crap at remembering names of bands/singers I like. But, I won’t be forgetting this one!
Her voice is beautiful. So beautiful. I think she’s on Jools Holland tonight? I know that Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Specials are 🙂 and I think she is too.
Hopefully she’ll be rather popular this year, but to be honest..she probably already is!
Before I tell you how amazing the new material by The Horrors is..I think I may have to delete my post about my favourite songs of all time. After looking at my list, I saw so much wrong with it! I’ve left out so many songs I love. I must stop trying to narrow down my favourite songs of all time because I just cannot do it! The top 3 will NEVER change- that I am sure of.
I’ve haven’t made a post in a while because I’ve ignored everything that’s been going on lately (good and..moreso bad) and thrown myself into my uni work. Last year counts apparently! Out of 4 modules, I’ve completed the work for 2 of them in the space of 4 days. Oh, and I’ve also been watching The Wire which is easily the best thing on TV and probably the best thing to have been on TV in..well, decades!
Now for the purpose of this post!
The Horrors’ new material is FAN-F*CKING-TASTIC. I love the band, s obviously I’ll be a tiny tiny bit biased. However, even if I was one the fools that ignored them when Strange House came out, I’d fall in the love with the new stuff.
A few new songs have appeared on YouTube, and a personal favourite has to be Who Can Say (I’m at my mum’s for Easter…the keyboard on the PC is utter wank!) Faris’ voice sounds so hurt yet beautiful. I hope this is on the album and not just one of these “rumoured” to be on the album because it is a bloody good song.
