THREE THINGS.

1-KEEP BUYING STARRY EYED. It’s now Sunday..so it’ll chart TODAY. But keep buying it! HMV…iTunes…WHEREVER. BUY IT. So far, it’s the best single to come out this year. But y’know if she releases This Love (Will Be Your Downfall) as a single…which some are saying is the next one, then that’ll be the best single of the year. Along with a billion others that I’ll regard as SONG OF THE YEAR! Wooooooahhh….slight ramble there. I need sleep.

2- Ellie will be on Alan Carr’s show 10pm. Channel 4. THIS Thursday…that’s the 4th I think! More than likely performing Starry Eyed. Oh when she uses the drum after the second chorus and..yeah, I don’t need to continue. BUT IT’S FRIGGIN’ BEAUTIFUL.

Save the best ’til last……………..

Marina & The Diamonds- The Family Jewels.

Finally Marina’s debut album is out today. I no longer have to play the EP over and over wishing and waiting for an album. It is finally out and I am currently listening to my favourite album of the year. Of course this will more than likely change next week when Ellie Goulding’s album comes out. So I shall just say, before I go into some kind of detail of how amazing The Family Jewels is, that this year- is a good year for debut albums. Lights and The Family Jewels are going to be the best albums you will hear this year.

The album opens with Are You Satisfied? which SHOULD be a single, but I’ve heard that Oh No! is the next release-it doesn’t matter what the next single is because this album is beautiful from start to finish. I remember hearing about Marina early last year and just finding as many songs as I could by her. One was Hermit The Frog, which I’m happy is on the album. I love her track, Porn Is Good For The Soul but sadly, it isn’t on the album. There’s a different version of Hollywood and of course I Am Not A Robot and Obsessions are on there.

Basically, you need to go out and buy this album. There is not a bad track on there at all. I know it’s a brief review but you really don’t need me to throw a bunch of descriptive words around. It’s a fantastic album, so go out and buy it 🙂

The xx Live.

Before I put the link, The xx have had to cancel some shows due to the sad passing of Romy’s dad. No idea when/if the dates are being re-scheduled, but to be honest, it isn’t that important. What’s important is Romy being alright and stuff. I tried to type this without sounding like a twat. Hopefully it worked. The dates are a few European ones.

Brits And Shit!

I didn’t watch the Brits last night as I was drunk somewhere. BUT, Flo got Best Album…I got drunk in celebration for her haha 🙂

Ellie Goulding is putting out a vinyl EP kind of thing which is going to be AMAZING!

I haven’t seen her or Flo’s speech from last night, I really want to!

I’ve developed an (unhealthy) diet of Super Noodles. It’s not going to end well is it.
