A Good Pop Song.

I won’t lie I HATE X-Factor. Totally hate it. It encourages talentless folks to be even more talentless. And I was never one for understanding the appeal of Diana Vickers. Her voice irritated me a lot.

Then. She released Once and I was shocked. Her voice wasn’t as annoying as it was on X-Factor.

THEN.

THEN.

She releases this :  The Boy Who Murdered Love. (I’m going to swear dear reader) IT’S AN AMAZING SONG, IT’S A FUCKING BRILLIANT POP SONG AND I CANNOT STOP PLAYING IT. I’m not ashamed at all. Not one bit. I bloody love it. I’d probably dance and sing along to it if I heard it when out. I do a really good impression of Diana Vickers. Can I make a career out of it? Maybe I could…who knows.

Anyway. I bloody love this song. To hell with all the music snobbery. I’m not down with that. I can listen to Cold Cave and then Diana Vickers if I want and not feel the need to repent by sitting in my room listening to Bob Dylan. I like what I like and don’t ever need to justify it. More people should be like this towards music.

  1. totally! snobbery about anything from music & literature to food annoys me – you like what you like and you can like highly respected and rated music AND ‘crap’ music too 😀

    xx

    • EXACTLY!!! I hate it when people dismiss things although they’ve never heard or read it or anything like that. It’s so stupid, and it just makes them out to be small minded and pathetic. I really hate it.xxx
